LOCAL PASTORS- MEF Funding
MEF funds are also available for local pastors who attend the Course of Study program. Funding for Course of Study students is critical to helping our local pastors meet their educational requirements.
Beginning July 1, 2021 all Local Pastors shall receive $250.00 per course.
Advanced Course of Study
After completing the Basic Course of Study, a local pastor may choose to continue the process toward provisional membership through the Advanced Course of Study. It includes 32 hours of master’s level education in a seminary recognized by the University Senate. It must include studies in United Methodist history, doctrine and polity.
MEF funds are also used to assist with the tuition and expenses for License for Ministry School. MEF funds also help to supplement funding for Continuing Education events in order to provide for low cost opportunities for quality events here in Kentucky.
